Analysis Checks

Microstran performs comprehensive checks both prior to and during analysis. This feature can save a lot of your time because some simple mistakes may not always be evident. For example, a node lying on a member without being connected to it is usually an error condition. This, along with many other checks, is performed before analysis. Some serious error conditions can only be detected during analysis - a mechanism instability, for example. In this case, the analysis will fail with error messages displayed in the analysis window and stored in the analysis log.

In Microstran V8 the checks performed during analysis are more exhaustive and some error messages provide more information than in previous versions.
