The Hong Kong Buildings Department has advised that Microstran V7.0 may be used to support structural design for submissions under the Buildings Ordinance.

The BD reference number and validity period shown below, together with all information required in the Practice Note for Authorized Persons and Registered Structural Engineers No. 79, should be given in a statement included in the submission of plans for approval.

The Steel Construction Institute
Verification of Microstran BS 5950 Module

In 1991 the Microstran V4 BS 5950 steel design module was certified by the British Steel Construction Institute.
