VRML Browser

VRML, the Virtual Reality Modeling Language, makes VR accessible through a browser plug-in. If your browser has a suitable VRML plug-in installed, the spiral staircase model above rotates about its axis and you can drag the mouse or press Page Up to change the view. The "Examine" behaviour in the VRML browser is similar to that in Microstran's OpenGL window.
If the staircase is not rotating you may wish to get one of these free browser plug-ins. The characteristics of each are summarized in the table below. Click here for an example of a larger structure in a VRML window with "dashboard" controls.
